Intro to LPAR:
What are LPAR systems and how they answer several business requirements in an economical fashion.

We will define Logical Partitioning (LPAR), its components and discuss what it means to LPAR your system and why you might want to do this. It sets the stage for the environment, and the thought processes, as well as the actions and work efforts to complete a secure LPARed system. We will also discuss the financial and performance pros and cons that had to be considered during this project. LPAR is the wave of today and tomorrow. It is worth an investment of your time. By the end of this session, attendees will understand what makes up an LPARed system and the evaluation, sizing and experiences.
