Configure WebSphere Application Server-Express on the iSeries
Craig Pelkie

Configure WebSphere Application Server-Express on the iSeries
WebSphere Application Server- Express (WAS-E) is the baseline version of WebSphere for the iSeries. With the new i5 servers, IBM is demonstrating its commitment to WAS-E by including it with the new servers. WAS-E provides the run-time environment needed for web enablement technologies such as WebFacing, JavaServer Pages, and iSeries Access for Web. In this session, you will learn about how to install WAS-E; how to configure WAS-E to work with the HTTP Server (powered by Apache) on the iSeries; how to configure JDBC Connection Pools and JDBC drivers to access iSeries database data; how to configure e-mail with WAS-E; and how to use WAS-E logs to diagnose and debug problems with the configuration and your applications.
