I Didn’t Know You Could Do That Using SQL - The Harder Stuff This session is a continuation of The Easy Stuff and reviews some advanced SQL capabilities. However, you can attend this session without having attended the first one. You will learn to use SQL to remove or add edit characters in a numeric field. You will learn how to use a Subselect in a SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE statement to reference multiple tables without doing a join. You will learn how to identify potential duplicate records in a table, and use the SOUNDEX function to search for data based on its sounds. This session is based on the SQL function available in V5R2 of OS/400, assumes you are familiar with using basic SQL statements.
