Two speakers:

Nick Mattera is currently the Vice President of Business Partner Relations for mindSHIFT Technologies (formerly Invision). With over 26 years of IT management experience, he is responsible for directing the strategic business partner relationship program. Before moving over to business partner relations, Nick was VP of Network Operations and Data Center Management managing 24 certified technicians and products specialists to support over 1,500 clients and customers IT infrastructure.

Prior to joining the mindSHIFT / Invision team in 2002, Nick was the Director of IT Operations for General Semiconductor, where he managed a global operations team that spanned 7 different countries. Nick was the recipient of General Semiconductor’s Chairman Award in 1999 for the re-negotiation of their AT&T Global voice and data contract, resulting in annual savings of nearly $1 million dollars annually. Prior to that, Nick held key IT positions at Oxford Health Plans, Chase Manhattan Bank, NBC and Paramount Pictures.

Matt Spies has been working in IT departments for the past 20 years for manufacturing companies. Currently, Matt is a supervisor, programmer/analyst, and the administrator for the System i at Amphenol’s RF division in Danbury CT. In this recent 10 years at Amphenol, Matt has been part of an incredible transformation from twinax attached devices, reports printed on green bar paper, and a reel to reel tape drive attached to an aging AS/400, to currently using RSE, ILE concepts, free-format RPG, email delivery of reports, BRMS, Advanced Job Scheduler, and taking care of a System i that delivers rapid processing and response time.

In seeing a better tool to communicate all that goes on within and outside of an organization, Matt has taken an interest in using Microsoft SharePoint. Whether if it’s for keep track of his to-do list, calendar postings, or frequented websites, there’s always a new way to share something.
